Who would have thought that some guy named Stan Lee would be worth $50 million today? A guy who writes comic book storylines, which have since been converted into super hero movies?
As I hit my thirties I sort of felt embarrassed that I was still into superheroes. Fortunately, Tony Stark came to my rescue.
Or rather, Robert Downey Jr. did.
Still, as a fiction writer it didn't seem like an avenue worth pursuing. Sure, Wild Cards by George R. R. Martin was a cool series.
But traditional comic book style super hero stories???
Then I got into the pulp genre. It felt sort of like coming home.
It turned out I couldn't be more right.
John Carter, Doc Savage, The Avenger and all those guys shaped superheroes as we know them today.
Those types of stories are as popular as ever.
And so are super hero stories.
It's not just a fad.
Marvel's successful superhero franchise is proof of that.
The lastest Avengers movie has grossed more than 2 billion dollars...and the final numbers for that one aren't in yet!!!
Every now and then you hear someone talk about a hot new genre.
You think, "Awesome!"
You start working the genre.
You're absolutely fired up and ready to go.
Then you hit a roadblock.
Well, not one...a ton of roadblocks.
You realize you have no clue what the genre is all about.
You're absolutely clueless.
You're stuck!
Worst of all, you've now wasted a ton of time working on a genre that's useless to you.
It's almost embarrassing how many times I've tried my hand at romance.
It's exactly as many times as I've failed at it.
It's not that I don't think I can write romance.
I mean, in my wedding speech I swayed my "audience" from laughter to tears at will.
It was pretty damn awesome...if I do have to say so myself.
Yet, whenever I sit down to write a specific romance genre I get stuck.
I get lost in the details of how and what and why.
In most genres those things are absolutely critical.
If you don't get it right you might as well not do it in the first place.
So, the first thing you need to consider when you start out in a new genre is this: do I know what I need to know?
If the answer is not a resounding yes don't do it.
DON'T DO IT!!!
Look. Here I've been droning on about how hot superhero books are, and how easy it is to earn royalties with them.
But where's the proof?
If I were you I'd definitely want to know.
So, let's look at a couple of examples.
The first example is "Steelheart" by Brandon Sanderson.
To date he has 2,106 reviews on that book.
I don't know how many reviews you get, but I sure don't get that many.
Typically, only 1-in-100 people will actually leave a review on a book they read.
As a result, we can multiply the number of reviews by 100 to determine an approximate number of book sales.
Since "Steelheart" has received 2,106 reviews, we can infer that 210,600 people have purchased a copy of this super hero fiction story.
Does that mean you have to be ranked high on the bestseller list to earn royalties?
I mean, that's what we always talk about, but I bet for a lot of people hitting the top of the charts appear no more likely than taking a stroll on the moon.
"Ex-Heroes" by Peter Clines has so far received 584 customer reviews, so from that, we can literally deduce that it has sold approximately 58,400 copies.
It's ranked far lower on Amazon currently sitting at #699 in the Superhero chart.
But still, royalties from almost 60K books don't sound too bad to me.
Or how about Jim Bernheimer's "Confessions of a D-List Supervillain?"
With 396 customer reviews that means roughly, 40k books sold.
This book is ranked #836 on the Superhero chart.
All of this just proves that while superhero books are hot and can make BIG money for those at the top of the charts, they can also make a handy sum for authors who don't quite make it as far up the charts.
For someone who is just starting out in the genre that should be very encouraging.
It really is an amazing opportunity.
I love superheroes, always have.
Fortunately, everybody else love superheroes as well right now.
But if you're not familiar with the genre you're going to get stuck as much as in any other genre.
When you watch the movies the stories seem simple enough.
But if you fail to capture the finer nuances you will fail to gain a readership.
And then you'll be wasting your time.
Do you like wasting your time?
Of course not.
So, it's probably better to leave this smoking hot opportunity alone, right?
After all it's just money, right?
Who cares.
You do?
You would like buyers to rip books off the shelves?
So, here we are.
This is a genre that's clearly making great waves across several media platforms.
Now it's your turn to make waves.
Sure. Getting into a new genre is difficult.
With "Superhero Fiction Writing Mastery" you can.
Here's why...
Superheroes are everywhere.
Even in literature.
There are many geeks like me who enjoy spending hours looking back at our formative years.
Who will spend thousands of dollars reliving the past.
To just, for a few hours pretend to be more than a geek. Or even more than normal.
As comic book readers have grown up superhero literature has too.
This is to your benefit.
If you are savvy and knowledgeable enough to take advantage of this massive opportunity...
You can have the same sense of freedom most of your readers dream of.
You can have the greatest superpower available in the real world.
Money.
If you're like me you get emails about great new opportunites all the time.
Also, again if you're like me, you make the jump from time to time. (Ok, more often than you like to admit)
What happens next?
Brimming with enthusiasm and energy you have at it.
You hit the snags mentioned earlier, but maybe you manage to get a books done. You may even get to publish it.
If you're lucky you may even get a sale too.
However, the experience so far will have pretty draining, and you're realizing you haven't really managed to hit the right notes of the genre.
With "Superhero Fiction Writing Mastery" I've done everything possible to make sure that's not going to be an issue for you.
It has everything you need to write a great superhero story.
It's exactly what you're going to need to make sure you don't miss out on an awesome opportunity.
Look, you could easily disregard the rest of this page and have a go on it on your own.
And I don't intend to be mean when I say this...
But you will fail.
There's a simple reason why.
Success depends on having the tools to succeed.
Top books in this genre are bringing in more than $40k a month in revenue.
The movies are generating billions of dollars in revenue.
No book I've published in this genre have failed to make at least a few sales.
2 of them have been in the top 100, and those were extremely short books too.
Now, I'm not saying that will necessarily happen to you.
Even if I could I would never give you a guarantee like that. There are simply too many variables at play.
However, right now, at least outside of romance, I believe this is one of the hottest genres you can get into right now.
All it requires is the knowledge to make it happen.
Seriously, the formula of superhero stories is really simple.
Most follow common plot structures you already know.
But to make it even easier for you I've provided several common story ideas you can use for your stories.
Along with the most common hero and villain archetypes that are used in superhero stories.
Seriously, with "Superhero Fiction Writing Mastery" there is nothing that can stop you from writing your own superhero story.
This training, and a pinch of imagination of course.
No!
Except for the cover there are no graphics involved unless you want there to be. You do NOT need to spend hundreds of dollars on graphics.
Yes. There's the main guide which you've been reading about here, and then a number of optional addons.
Let me be clear though. You don't HAVE to get the addons to write superhero stories.
Absolutely.
I know most people see superheroes as something that only appear in comic books and movie theatres. But these days it's different. A lot of writers are making bank writing serious superhero stories.
Look. I know you're probably into other genres, but there's something I haven't mentioned so far. It's not been the focus point of this page.
Whatever genre you're into right now you can easily combine that with writing superhero stories.
It doesn't matter if you're writing...
Or any other genre for that matter.
You can keep doing that with superheroes.
P.S. Superheroes are the hottest things on the planet right now, and this is your opportunity to get in on fun.
P.P.S. With "Superhero Fiction Writing Mastery" you will have no problem at all writing a superhero story.
P.P.P.S. This introductory price is insanely low and i can't guarantee it will stay this low for long.
Sincerely,
Mike Nielsen
